Red-breasted Goose Photography in Bulgaria
The tour is organized by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB)/BirdLife Bulgaria and its tourist branch - Neophron Tours.
All the profits are donated to support the Red-breasted Goose conservation program of BSPB.
Best time: 15 January - 20 February
Region: The Coastal Dobrudzha in North-eastern Bulgaria
Main approaches: Taking shots from vehicles and/or tent-hides in the foraging grounds (winter cereal crops) depending on the behaviour of the geese; from tent-hides at the roosting sites; from the main watch-points around the roosting sites, providing excellent opportunities for flight-shots.
You will be guided by the best Red-breasted Goose experts and bird photographers in Bulgaria.
Level of difficulty: Easy to moderate
Opportunities for photography of other species: White-fronted Goose, Black-necked Grebe, Dalmatian Pelican, Pygmy Cormorant, Long-legged Buzzard, Marsh and Hen Harriers, Little Owl, Syrian, Middle-spotted and Lesser Spotted woodpeckers, Calandra Lark, Bearded Reedling and many others.

The price includes:transfers from and to Varna Airport, 4WD vehicle, accommodation in twin/single en-suite room in a middle-standard hotel/lodge, all meals, guiding, entrance fees in the protected areas.
