Rock Partridge Short Break
A 4-day tour available any time from April to June
Tour program:
| Day 1 |
Arrival in Sofia and transfer to one of the two locations, where we run this tour: the Balkan Mountains and Pirin Mnts. There we stay for two nights.

| Day 2 & 3 |
Exploring the areas around our accommodation basis for the Rock Partridge.
To increase the chances of seeing this impressive, but rather shy bird we have to start early in the morning, before dawn.
Other birds to be seen in the Rock Partridge areas: Golden Eagle, Short-toed Eagle, Ring Ouzel (the South-Eurpean subspecies alpinus), Water Pipit, Crag Martin, Red-rumped Swallow, Rock Bunting, etc.
In the late afternoon of Day 3 we will drive to Sofia and check-in for one night there.

| Day 4 |
Departure day. If the flight is late in the afternoon we can visit the Vitosha Mountain near Sofia where we can expect to find Water Pipit, Horned Lark, Ring Ouzel, Spotted Nutcracker, Common Crossbill, Willow Tit, Firecrest & Goldcrest. |
| Grading: Easy to moderate. To reach the Rock Partridge spots it takes about one hour walking on flat or fairly steep dirt roads and trails. |

Chances of photographing the Rock Partridge: 25 %
The chances of seing and photographing the bird depend very much on the weather conditions in the mountains.

The price includes: transport by car or minibus, accommodation in family-run 2/3* hotels in twin/double bedded en-suite rooms, all meals, local guiding, entrance fees in the protected areas.
